How to build Veeva Approved Emails from your mockups

What a Veeva Approved Email needs

Approved Emails are sent by reps from Veeva CRM, so the HTML has stricter rules than a typical marketing email. The email has to:

• use a table-based layout with inline CSS, so it holds up in Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail and mobile apps;
• avoid JavaScript, forms, iframes, web fonts and anything else Approved Email doesn't allow;
• keep every Veeva token exactly as written: {{accTitle}}, {{accLname}}, the unsubscribe token, and the {{customText[…]}} and {{customRichText}} fields of the rep message;
• carry the Important Safety Information and the footer legal copy as live text, word for word;
• match the approved copy exactly, with every superscript reference, symbol and footnote in place.

Building that by hand takes an email developer hours per email, and every revision goes through MLR review again.
